Closed circuit television (CCTV) systems can contain cameras, monitors, central switching equipment, video tape and digital recorders and other video processing equipment. Cameras can be either fixed-position or controlled-position. Fixed-position cameras are rigidly aimed at one scene. Controlled-position cameras are capable of being aimed, zoomed or focused by remote control.
